As with all solar powered decorations the brightness and length of time the light shines is affected by how much daylight the solar panels on the decoration receive. It will perform best with the solar panel in a south facing location which is open rather than shaded.

These can be used at any time of year but obviously their performance varies according to the amount of daylight available.
